Almond Tofu Stir Fry ingredients list:
½ cup of soy sauce.
2 tablespoons of peanut butter.
¼ teaspoon of garlic powder.
1 teaspoon of onion powder.
1 lb of tofu, cut in half-inch cubes.
2 tablespoons of cooking oil.
1 bell pepper, chopped.
½ teaspoon of ginger powder.
6 scallions, chopped.
3 stalks of celery, chopped.
8 oz of water chestnuts.
2 cups of cold water.
1/3 cup of soy sauce.
2 ¼ tablespoons of cornstarch.
½ cup of roasted almond slivers.
Instructions for Almond Tofu Stir Fry:
Combine the ½ cup of soy sauce, peanut butter, garlic powder and onion powder to create marinade.
Add the tofu, cut in half-inch cubes to the marinade, and marinate for 30 minutes.
In the oil, sauté the bell pepper, ginger powder, scallions, celery and water chestnuts until tender.
Blend together the cold water, 1/3 cup of soy sauce and cornstarch for sauce.
Add the sauce to sautéed veggies and simmer.
Add the tofu and marinade.
Simmer until thick.
Stir in the roasted almonds and serve immediately over noodles or rice.
